Services Offered
Services Offered
Friendly Visiting
A volunteer visits the client’s home once a week, when possible. Each visit is about one hour long. If the client wishes, visits can include going for a walk in the immediate neighbourhood when safe to do so. Friendly Phone Calls can be included with Friendly Visiting services. These arrangements can be made between a volunteer and their client.
Please note: Friendly Visiting does not include assisting with household tasks, food preparation or personal care.

Our Pricing
Service Fees
Service fees are established on an income-based sliding scale which ensures that services are free for low-income seniors and the market rate for seniors with an income above the BC average.
The sliding scale levels are 100% subsidy, 80% subsidy, 60% subsidy, 40% subsidy, 20% subsidy and no subsidy

Once space becomes available, Better at Home will contact you to arrange a meeting to confirm eligibility, complete registration forms and determine your needs.
-
We will connect you with a volunteer or contracted service provider to start receiving basic, non-medical home support services.
