Louise joined Volunteer Campbell River (VCR) in 2007 as the Volunteer Centre Coordinator and became the Executive Director in 2011. She holds a Certificate in Non-profit Management from North Island College and has attended various workshops, conferences and training sessions relating to Board Development, Non-profit Management and Volunteer Management.
Before coming to VCR Louise was an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, small business owner and a Telus employee.
Following her boys love of lacrosse Louise was involved in the CR Ravens youth lacrosse association as a team manager for several years and senior lacrosse as President, Vice-President and supporter, over 16 years. She is also the founder of the North Island Field Lacrosse association and took on various roles (sometimes all at once) ranging from President to team manager. In 2016 she was on the family selection committee for the Habitat for Humanity build. Currently, Louise sits on the Board of the CR Beacon Club and Volunteer BC and is a Volunteer Canada Council member.
Louise believes in volunteering as the heart of any great community.
