VCR Annual General Meeting
The CR Volunteer Society held their AGM on Tuesday, May 18th at 6:30 pm at the Museum at Campbell River. Sylvie Hatch was our guest speaker this year and spoke to those in attendance on Health & Wellness and Volunteers in the Workplace. Thank you Sylvie for an informative session!

An inspiring presentation by multiple Nobel Peach Prize nominee Craig Kielburger will take place on Tuesday June 1st at the Tidemark Theatre. Reception: 6:30 pm, Presentation 7:30 pm.
Donner Awards
The Donner Awards Program is Canada’s largest recognition program. A total of $60,000 is available to be won, with a total of nine awards granted. The Donner Awards Program is accepting applications for the 2010 Donner Canadian Foundation Awards for Excellence in the Delivery of Social Services until Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
Non-profit organizations may apply to the Donner Awards online at https://secure.lexi.net/donnerawards. Applicants who complete their application online by our final deadline of June 15, 2010 will be entered in our $1,000 cash draw.
