Here’s what one participant emailed after the event:
"I wanted again to say Thank you, the Volunteer Fair was a great success. Personally our organization received numbers from … people who wanted to volunteer with us ... These are people that wanted to volunteer but perhaps would not have made it to the volunteer centre, the ease of the gathering made it very simple for them. As well we have had expressions of interest from a number of other people and others that were interested in our services.
It was also a great opportunity for some of the volunteer organizations to become aware of each other and what the other organizations do.
Thank you again for the huge amount of planning and effort in making the Volunteer Fair happen."
Annual General Meeting
Volunteer Campbell River held a successful AGM on May 17th with 22 people in attendance. Thanks to those that came out in support of our society and to our guest speaker Kathi Cameron who was funny and knowledgeable on “Serving others well”. We all had a chuckle and picked up a few tips to keep us going!
